KeyMoments is a digital memory book for your child: photos, videos, voice recordings, kid quotes, appointments and little stories, with a chapter for every year of life. The whole family can write along, and grandma and grandpa get a simple view.

On iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 26 (iPhone 11 and newer). There is no Android version. You can share single entries with Android users by link, to view in the browser.

Availability depends on the App Store of your country. Check the App Store page of KeyMoments to see whether it is offered in yours.

The first month is free. After that the child plan costs €1.99 a month for the first child (euro area), each further child costs less, with a family discount from 2 children. People you invite who only use other people's books pay for access. Yearly plans are about 20 percent cheaper. Apple sets the local price and shows it before you subscribe.

With the child plan you create books for your own children and invite the family. Access is for invited people who only look at, comment on or (if allowed) write in other people's books. Access is already included in the child plan.

Yes. Because the two subscriptions are separate at Apple, it takes two steps: 1. Subscribe to access on the payment screen in the app. 2. Cancel the child plan (Profile, Plan, Manage subscription, Change or cancel). The child plan runs until the end of the period you paid for. After that you can still look at your own books but not add anything new. In shared books, access lets you do whatever your rights allow.

In the app on the payment screen, or in the App Store: your profile picture, then Redeem Gift Card or Code.

The app reminds you 3 days and 1 day before. Without a subscription everything stays: you can still look at your books but not add anything new. Nothing is deleted, and with a subscription you carry on seamlessly.

In the app under Profile, Plan, Manage subscription, Change or cancel, or in iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions. The subscription runs until the end of the paid period.

Yes. Invited people tap More in the book, then "Take over the plan for …", and give 12 months of the child plan at the yearly price. The gift does not renew automatically. If the parents have already paid, it starts afterwards.

An optional add-on subscription. You can try it free with 100 Sparks . Then the AI Claude writes the captions under photos, titles, entries and recaps in full, natural sentences, even on iPhones without Apple Intelligence. With Plus you get 200 Sparks every month: one field costs 1 Spark , a recap 5 (a yearly recap 15) including all captions, and titles are free. Without Plus the app writes the texts for free with Apple's AI on your device.

Profile, Invite family, then invite the person by message. For each person you decide whether they may write, comment or only look. They need an iPhone or iPad with an Apple ID.

Yes. Both parents can write in the same book. The calendar has a custody schedule (for example every second weekend, or shared care) with exceptions, and the app can remind you before every handover.

Everyone in the family can write their own letters to the child, with a video if they like. They open only on a date you choose, for example on the 18th birthday.

On your device and in your own iCloud, end-to-end encrypted. There is no account of ours, no advertising and no tracking. Face recognition runs on your device.

Yes. From the book you make a photo book as a PDF, or export it as a web page that opens in any browser. There is also an encrypted backup as a file. The photo calendar is a PDF too.
